Dialectical Behavioral Therapy

Why select TAC for your treatment?

Empirically Supported Effectiveness

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) has a strong evidence base demonstrating its effectiveness in treating a wide range of mental health issues, including borderline personality disorder and others.

Skills-Based Approach

DBT provides individuals with practical skills to manage intense emotions, improve interpersonal relationships, and enhance distress tolerance. Its structured curriculum ensures that participants acquire tangible tools for real-life situations.

Tailored to Unique Needs

Our DBT program is customized to meet the diverse needs of each participant. Whether addressing emotional dysregulation, self-harm behaviors, or interpersonal difficulties, our approach is flexible and adaptive, ensuring optimal outcomes for every individual.

Our Approach

If you feel like you or your loved one is struggling to regulate emotions or is acting impulsively, you are not alone. We know that genetics and environmental factors interface to increase certain individual's sensitivity to emotional cues. DBT is often the ideal treatment protocol when the primary concerns is high levels of anger, impulsive behaviors, self-harm, or suicidal ideation. DBT provides a structured skills-based platform for modulating emotions and improving attentional control. At The Anxiety Center you will find that we provide the full continuum of DBT services including skills groups, individual psychotherapy, ongoing phone consultation, family systems support, and medication management. As you or your loved one participates in the program you will learn to engage life more fully, tolerate distress skillfully, manage your emotions, and improve your understanding of relational dynamics. We have seen the use of DBT transform the lives of our clinicians and patients alike. That is why clinicians at our center are expected to live it before they can teach it. At The Anxiety Center we would love the opportunity to partner with you and teach you how to reduce your vulnerability by taking control of the moment and skillfully interacting with your environment.
