What is DBT?
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a type of cognitive-behavioral therapy. DBT focuses on teaching patients skills to cope with stress, regulate emotions, and improve relationships with others. It combines standard cognitive-behavioral techniques for emotion regulation and reality-testing with concepts of mindful awareness, distress tolerance, and acceptance. The term "dialectical" refers to the process that brings together opposite concepts like acceptance and change, and this balance is central to the therapy's approach.

Our approach is deeply rooted in behavioral therapy, emphasizing the proven methodologies of Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). In our center, patients engage closely with skilled behavior therapists in individual therapy sessions, focusing on creating customized behavior plans. These sessions, typically held five times a week, are complemented by weekly family therapy, acknowledging the significant role of familial support in the treatment process.
