"TMS was the piece I was missing. The fact that they coordinate it directly with therapy — not as an add-on — made it actually work."

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

I've tried a bunch of other stuff and it hasn't worked. What is an IOP Group Therapy Program, and is it for me?

Our IOP program is a specialized, comprehensive treatment designed for people who are really struggling with things like obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), complex anxiety, depression, self-harm, and trauma symptoms to the point where it's disrupting their daily life. We get that you might have tried other approaches, and our program is set up to be a more intensive approach to help you get back on track.

How much time will this actually take out of my week? And can I even fit it into my schedule?

We know you have a life, so our programs are designed to be flexible. You can schedule your IOP around your daily routine. The intensity ranges from 9 to 15 hours per week, depending on what you need, and we offer various times throughout the day.

What kind of age groups do you actually help out?

Right now, we have programs for adolescents (ages 13-17) and adults (18+). We will be offering a program for children (ages 9-12) soon!

What kind of therapy am I actually going to be doing here? I'm tired of fluffy stuff.

We're all about evidence-based practices here. That means we use therapies that have been proven to work. You'll be getting a lot of Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), which is super effective for OCD. We also use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). These approaches are designed to help you handle distress and live a life that's meaningful to you, even with challenges. We also provide Medication Management, Ketamine/Spravato and Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS)

Do you take my insurance?

We accept most insurance providers and Medicare/Medicaid. Speak with our care team to determine eligibility.

Do I have to come in person, or I can do this from home?

You've got options! Our programs can be done **in-person, virtually, or through a hybrid model** that combines the the best of in-person with the flexibility of remote

What's the main goal of this program? Like, what's the big picture for me if I join?

Our main goal is to help you work through your symptoms and pursue what's important to you in life. We want to show you that you can live a fulfilling life, even when things are uncertain or uncomfortable. With The Anxiety Center, it's about taking the right step towards a brighter, more manageable future.

Do you have specific programs for certain issues, or is it just a general anxiety thing?

We have specialized tracks that focus on specific issues like anxiety and OCD, depression, self-harm, and trauma. This allows us to tailor the treatment to your unique needs.

Protecting Their Future

The goal of early, intensive intervention is to ensure that a temporary struggle doesn't become a permanent setback. By providing the tools to manage high-stakes anxiety and OCD now, we help prevent the long-term academic and social gaps that often follow more restrictive placements.
