Conditions he treats: OCD, Anxiety, Depression
Alex O’Brien has always been passionate about healthcare, a journey that began during his undergraduate studies when he was initially on track for medical school. After realizing that medical school wasn’t the right fit, Alex sought a different path in healthcare that better aligned with his personal values. Inspired in part by his own experiences, he was drawn to the mental health field with a desire to help others find healing and support.
Alex’s background includes time as a medical student and as a teacher and tutor at the University of Cincinnati. These experiences gave him both a clinical and educational perspective, shaping his ability to connect with people and support them in meaningful ways.
Outside of work, Alex enjoys music, reading, horror films, video games, and competing in triathlons. These interests bring balance and creativity to his life and fuel the energy he brings to his role at The Anxiety Center.
