Alex O’Brien
BS – University of Michigan // MSW – University of Cincinnati
Alex O’Brien has always been interested in healthcare, beginning during his undergraduate studies when he was initially on track for medical school. After realizing that medical school wasn’t the right fit, Alex sought a different path in healthcare that better aligned with his personal values. Inspired in part by his own personal experiences, he was drawn to the mental health field with a desire to help others find healing and support.
Alex’s background includes working as a medical student and as a teacher/tutor at the University of Cincinnati. These experiences gave him both a clinical and educational perspective, shaping his ability to connect with people and support them in meaningful ways.
Outside of work, Alex enjoys music, reading, horror, video games, and competing in triathlons. These interests bring balance and creativity to his life and fuel the energy he brings into his role at The Anxiety Center.
My passion
"I am passionate about supporting individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, OCD, trauma, and life transitions. My approach is whole-body and holistic: in addition to therapy, I emphasize the importance of lifestyle habits, personal happiness, and goal setting. My goal is to create a supportive environment where clients can grow, heal, and thrive."
