Lindsey Conover

BA - Miami University // PhD - Binghamton University

Dr. Conover earned a PhD in Clinical Psychology from Binghamton University. Her graduate studies focused on the research and treatment of OCD and anxiety disorders. She completed her APA accredited predoctoral internship at the University of Arizona College of Medicine. During her internship, she provided outpatient cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychoeducational assessments, and intake evaluations to children, adolescents, and young adults. She also participated in multidisciplinary PANS/PANDAS diagnostic evaluations. Dr. Conover completed her postdoctoral clinical psychology fellowship at the Lindner Center of Hope where she then served as a clinical psychologist and headed the OCD track for the residential program.

In addition to specialized training in exposure and response prevention (ERP) for adults and children with OCD, her clinical experiences have included conducting psychoeducational and autism evaluations and providing family, individual and group psychotherapy. She has experience using cognitive-behavioral and mindfulness-based interventions for a wide range of disorders, parent management training, and social skills training. Dr. Conover enjoys working with clients across the lifespan.

Dr. Conover has published scientific papers on exposure therapy for OCD and childhood risk for OCD. She co-wrote a chapter on the efficacy and theory of various psychotherapy approaches for OCD in Psychotherapy: The State of the Science and Practice (2018). She has served as an adjunct reviewer for the Journal of Anxiety Disorders and Journal of Obsessive-Compulsive and Related Disorders. Dr. Conover has presented locally and nationally on the nature and treatment of OCD and anxiety disorders.

My passion

"Outside of work, Dr. Conover enjoys spending time with family and watching her son grow into a pretty cool kid. She loves trying out new recipes (currently on a sourdough kick!), watching live sports, and singing on the worship team at her church."
